Black Fox Mine (CANADA):

Apollo's 100% owned Black Fox Mine was acquired in late 2002 from the Glimmer Mine joint venture which was operated and mined by Exall Resources Limited through 2001. The Mine is located 75 kilometers (40 miles) East of Timmins in Ontario, Canada and is on the Destor-Porcupine Fault Zone (DPFZ) in the Timmins Mining District. In April 2008, Apollo Gold filed a Canadian National Instrument (NI 43-101 Technical Report) prepared to a bankable standard (“bankable feasibility study”) and announced a total probable reserves of 1,330,000 ounces of gold at Black Fox.

The project development commenced in October 2008 starting with the commencement of the removal of the glacial till material which overlay the open pit and was completed in May 2009. Additionally in October 2008, the expansion of the Black Fox mill commenced to increase its throughput rate from approximately 1,100 to 2,000 tonnes per day. Ore mining at Black Fox commenced in March 2009 and the mill expansion was commissioned in April 2009. The first gold pour at Black Fox occured in May 2009.

Huizopa Project (MEXICO):

The Huizopa Project is located in the Sierra Madre Occidental Mountains in Chihuahua, Mexico. These mountains contain the Sierra Madre Gold Belt (SMGB), a silver-gold province recognized as one of the most productive gold –silver mining regions in the world which historically produced over 40 million ounces of gold and 2 billion ounces of silver. The Huizopa Project is approximately 17 kilometer southwest of Minefinder's Dolores Project and 33 kilometer northeast of the Alamos Gold's Mulatos gold-silver project, thus Huizopa is on a straight line between these two large producers.
