R. DAVID RUSSELL

President and Chief Executive Officer / Director

Mr. Russell is a director of the Corporation and has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer since June 2002. Mr. Russell was one of the founders of Nevoro Gold Corporation in January 2002, the predecessor of Apollo Gold Corporation, and served as the President from February 2002 through June 2002. He was an independent mining consultant from 1999 to 2002. His background included services with Asarco, LAC Minerals, Barrick Gold Corporation and Getchell Gold Corporation. Mr. Russell also serves as a Director of General Moly, Inc. and Pure Nickel, Inc. Mr. Russell received his mining engineering degree from Montana Tech at the University of Montana.

MELVYN WILLIAMS

Chief Financial Officer
Senior Vice President - Finance and Corporate Development

Mr. Williams has over 30 years of financial experience and has served as Chief Financial Officer since January 2005 and as the Senior Vice President-Finance & Corporate Development since March 2004. From November 2003 through January 2004, Mr. Williams served as Chief Financial Officer of Atlantico Gold, a private Brazilian mining company which held the Amapari gold project, and was sold to Wheaton River Minerals Ltd. in January 2004. From 2000 to November 2003, he served as Chief Financial Officer of TVX Gold Inc., a gold mining company which merged with Kinross Gold in 2003. His background also includes services with Star Mining Corporation, LAC North America, Riominas LSDA and Rossing Uranium (both of which are Rio Tinto subsidiaries). Mr. Williams also serves as a Director of Andina Minerals Inc. He is a Charter Certified Accountant and received an MBA from Cranfield in the United Kingdom.

RICHARD F. NANNA

Senior Vice President - Exploration

Mr. Nanna has served as the Corporation’s Senior VP of Exploration since June 2002. Mr. Nanna was co-founder of Nevoro Gold Corporation in January 2002, the predecessor of Apollo Gold Corporation, and served as its VP of Exploration from February 2002 through June 2002. From 1999 to 2002, Mr. Nanna worked as an independent consultant. His background includes services with Getchell Gold Corporation, FirstMiss Gold Inc., FRM Minerals and Bendix Field Engineering. He has over 35 years in exploration and is a registered professional geologist in the state of Washington. He received a Master’s Degree in Geology from Akron University in Ohio. Mr. Nanna serves as a Director of General Moly Inc and Azteca Gold.

Timothy G. Smith

Vice President, US & Canadian Operations

Mr. Smith has served as Vice President, US & Canadian Operations since November 2008 and was previously Vice President and General Manager of Montana Tunnels Mining Inc from February 2004. Prior to joining Apollo Gold, Mr. Smith worked for Cominco Ltd (before its merger with Teck Corporation) as Operating Manager at the Red Dog Mine from 1996 through 2003. Mr. Smith holds a Bachelor of Engineering, Metallurgical from McGill University and is a professional engineer registered in British Columbia.

Brent E. Timmons

Vice President & Controller

Mr. Timmons joined the Corporation in 2005 in the position of Senior Accountant and has been Vice President and Controller since March 2007. Prior to joining the corporation, Mr. Timmons worked for Enterprise Rent-a-Car for six years and prior to that worked as a CPA performing audit services in the private and governmental sectors. Mr. Timmons holds a Master of Accountancy from Brigham Young University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
